Today is my mother’s 86th birthday. Happy Birthday Mom! And she wants to celebrate with pizza and ice cream sandwiches.
A person should get what they want, right? So tonight my two brothers and sister will arrive around 5:30pm to have pizza (ordered in – HEY, I have to make it easy!) and cake with ice cream (it’s close to an ice cream sandwich!).
Tomorrow is the bridal shower I’m hosting for my future daughter-in-law. So far, fifteen have confirmed their presence, fifteen no’s, making 24 unheard of’s. Amanda and I are looking forward to the fun.
Now there’s a thought: Looking forward to the fun. Imagine using that concept each time there is work to be done.
I never gave it a second thought while looking through recipes, mailing invitations, or cleaning the bathroom; I just did it because I was looking toward the time when the party – or in this case, parties – will be here.
There is still a bunch of to-do’s, however, little by little, the list is shrinking. I’m in great shape!
Speaking of lists, I’m so very glad you’re on mine and am very blessed to have you in my life.
Storm is rolling in, so best get this posted. I will also be sharing this with my newsletter subscribers. If you like what you see, sign up for more quality reading and thought-provoking ideas. I’d love to have you.
Have a great day and Dream On!
“Wish on everything. Pink cars are good, especially old ones. And stars of course, first stars and shooting stars. Planes will do if they are the first light in the sky and look like stars. Wish in tunnels, holding your breath and lifting your feet off the ground. Birthday candles. Baby teeth.” ~ Francesca Lia Block
