How do you begin your day?

My day began at an early 3:20 a.m.  I was mulling over how to deal with a certain situation. It was handled by attacking it head on; now to wait for the results.

After tackling the above dilemma, I feel resounding calmness and peace; which was a good thing because of what I discovered a few minutes ago.

The content of my Consultation page is completely missing from this website!

I looked for the copy in my computer files, however, have yet to locate it. Maybe this is a sign that a better page can now be written or it was time for an update anyway.

The peaceful calmness reigns even through this travesty.  Rewriting a page is not what I had in mind today, but I did complete many tasks this morning to free my time up to accomplish this new task.

How do you handle the little things that could become very large atrocities? Do you have a morning process or ritual in place to help you get through the rest of your day?

I would love to hear about your daily personal practice.

I don't sweat the "little" stuff and if something comes up that is huge I digest it first. Take 5, have a coffee, chill or do what is needed, then chip away at that mountain of a prob

I love my morning ritual. I do the unpardonable by most time management gurus - I clear my emails. This allows me to see where the day is at so I can write up to three blogs. Then I get on with social media marketing time. And revisit those blogs I wrote to post them. If I have early appointments, I get up earlier to get the activities done.

Starting your day off feeling peaceful and centered can make a big difference in how you choose to approach any problems that arise. I love the ritual of waking up a few minutes before my alarm and just enjoying the peace, getting up and saying hello to myself in the mirror is a new and fabulous practice.
Taking 5, deep breaths and reminding myself that I can choose to be upset, or choose to look for the opportunity. Both paths take a lot of energy so I might as well choose the happier one!

My morning ritual is so out of wack w/ my kids on summer break that I feel off for most of my days. BUT that is ok because my kids do realize that if an emergency comes up they know "ok it's time to leave mom alone". I'm a list maker so if a thought comes up while I'm dealing w/ this or that it goes on my list for today. Then I'm ready to get going no later than 9am. Once school starts and both kids are gone....I'm ready to go, I do have two hours between each kid to get off to school that between that time I catch up on Social Media...summer I have a hard time. One day I'll have a good morning ritual in the am...right now I'm ok w/ what I have.

Roberta,
You have to do what's right for you and if clearing your email frees you up for the remainder of the day, then so be it.
I do this too, by the way. I have come to realize what I need to do to keep me moving forward. Sometimes it's doing the housework or like yesterday, the yardwork.

Bonnie,
Yes, I certainly agree morning rituals are very important. I have a few to fall back on myself.
I love the cleansing breaths you take to re-center yourself in making the "happier" choice.
