Tomorrow I embark on one the most important steps in my life: Dream Coach Certification.
My flight to San Francisco leaves the Twin Cities around 11:30 in the a.m. I'll be in training for 7 days straight beginning Monday ending Sunday, February 7. It might seem a bit odd to say, but I'm looking forward to the time.
I'm excited to learn all I can, I'm excited to become a better person, I'm excited to be able to help so many people in their daily lives by making them know they matter and so do their dreams.
Where would we be without our dreams? We begin at a young age dreaming to be a grown up and some of us dream of what we would be doing as a grown up. What were your dreams of a child?
I remember my older sister wanting to be a nurse when she was younger and became one when she grew up. She is very proud of her accomplishment as we all are of her. All I aspired to be when younger was a mother and a wife, but knowing now what those roles entail, it is more than just "all."
Since I’ve been on this quest of becoming a Certified Dream Coach I hear many stories of people in real need of support and encouragement. If you’ve been following my blog you’ve read a few tidbits.
As I told a friend today, it tugs at the heart strings. I also told my friend that even though it has been nearly one year since my position was eliminated I still feel the pain of that time. And it hurts to see others go through their job loss or any other type of loss.
The other day I was speaking to a friend about someone who recently lost her mother and how she would cry at her desk with a less than sympathetic supervisor nearby. This was me to the T eighteen years ago, except it was my mother-in-law and a nasty co-worker. The unsympathetic boss came a few years later when I was dealing with my son who was diagnosed with ADHD and Depression, "Leave your problems at home."
Those were the years when I decided it was up to me to make a better life for myself. But I wasn’t “smart” enough to ask for help being too embarrassed that a label might be put on my head.
Times have changed. I have changed. I am stronger and I am going for what I want. I have been given all that I asked for and I want to teach—show—others that they can do the same. I will be there for them giving inspiration to follow through with their heart; offering encouragement that they are going in the right direction; and I will support them in their decisions as they move into the next phase of their life.
In a few days I will be a Certified Dream Coach who will be able to take participants through a process to learn how to achieve everything their hearts and minds desire. How great of blessing is that!?
Take care and God bless and have a splendiferous week.
