“In order to do this, a person must pass from the competitive to the creative mind; he must form a clear mental picture of the things he wants, and hold this picture in his thoughts with the fixed PURPOSE to get what he wants, and the unwavering FAITH that he does get what he wants, closing his mind against all that may tend to shake his purpose, dim his vision, or quench his faith..” ~The Science of Getting Rich, p.40
Have you ever heard the adage, “Be careful what you wish for because you just may get it?”
Has that ever come true for you? It has for me many times over and it can be rather scary! Especially, if it’s for the very first time.
The times when I’ve wished for something and it ultimately came to fruition, I stated my wish verbally, into the wind; and let the words travel toward an uncertain destination – or so I thought.
But someone heard them. Someone took those words and made my wishes and desires happen.
A few months later, my wish was granted; not exactly how I imagined, yet coming true, nonetheless. My brother- and sister-in-law moved in with us because they were out of work. For three months I had a cook, a laundress, and a maid to help me out.
As I reflect on what I’ve read thus far in The Science of Getting Rich, I am reminded of the principles that worked for me in the past in manifesting my wants, wishes, and desires.
- Sharing my dream with the world.
- Making it known through verbalization what specifically I want.
- Having the faith that as long as I keep positive and moving toward my goal, it will be given to me.
What has worked for you in the past? I’d love to hear.
To your success,
“The very best thing you can do for the whole world is to make the most of yourself.” ~W.D. Wattles
