Warning: Saying "yes" could change your life!

Today begins nearly a week of writing my first ever e-book. The ideas are swirling around in my head; have been for about six months. Now, it’s time to get them out of my head and share them.

Another new idea has entered that glorious and vast space; it’s a really crazy idea; yet others like me have done the same thing. Why can’t it work for me, too?

Has this ever happened to you, thinking this way? If yes, did you act on the impulse or did you thoroughly research the concept? Did you forego the operation altogether or jump in with both feet?

In the case of completing the e-book, I’ve signed on with my friend and book-writing (and life) mentor, Donna Kozik, to get it done this weekend. Donna is the force behind my published books – all of them. I am credited with the status of two-time bestselling author on Amazon.com in specific categories because of being a part of The Gratitude Book Project series. I contributed to all six of the available books.

I have to be honest; the decision to not only be part of the series and to write my own books was a no-brainer for me: THIS WAS SOMETHING I WANTED TO DO!

Was I scared? Certainly.

Did I know what I was doing? Certainly not!

Were the funds available to participate in the program? Nope; but I did it anyway.

Will I do it again? Most assuredly!

When I finished writing my first book, “fiftysomething: The Unknown, Dreams, and Paths,” Donna asked me what I was going to do with it. “I don’t know,” was my uneducated response.

But that book put me in front of a live audience of over a hundred people talking about the experience of writing it AND put me on the cover of Donna’s own book, “How to Write a Book in a Weekend.” My photo appears as well on her website and sales copy she distributes. I am honored; I am blessed.

Even though feeling I didn’t have the money to invest in myself at the time, I am so glad I pushed myself past my comfort zone and my pocketbook. This August will be two years since I first took Donna’s program, now having eight books published, and my photo on the cover of yet another one, PLUS quoted in another book written as a gratitude journal.

So, my question to you today is: What do you really want to do?

My advice for you to today is: Find a way to get it done!!!

You will never know where your journey will take you when you finally say “YES!” but I do know it will take you on the best ride of your life! And if I can help you in any way, please let me know.

Dream On!

“In a mood of faith and hope my work goes on. A ream of fresh paper lies on my desk waiting for the next book. I am a writer and I take up my pen to write.”

This comes under the classification- we are our own worst enemies- always finding reasons why we can't or shouldn't.

Congrats on saying 'yes' Peggy and on all your success with your books.
I worte about my experiment with saying yes to everything (well, unless dangerous lol) for one month and was not only amazed by all that moved me forward but by people responses! It's scary sometimes to push past our self imposed limitations but boy is it worth it.
