"You have no clue as to what you're getting yourself into."
"What are you thinking?"
"You can't do this."
How many times have these doubtful words been said to you -- either thinking them yourself or said by someone you know? How do you they make you feel? How do you respond?
Do you know that you are not the only one who hears those doubts? I do, too. But I mainly hear them from within my own mind, especially upon waking.
The best way I know how to quiet the questions is to face them openly and honestly. I probably don't know exactly what I'm getting myself into, yet I welcome the challenge and the gifts that will manifest. I have overcome all of the obstacles I talk about, so I'm thinking what I have to share will give hope and encouragement to others that they will too. Who else can do this but me? No one has my experiences or my solutions.
You have a duty, a calling perhaps, to bring your solutions, your gifts, to the world. I believe we have been put on this earth to do more than merely work, make money, or raise a family. I believe we have a purpose that is larger than we can imagine. And I also believe it is up to us to find what that is.
Generally, the purpose is "to help others," but the goal is more specified. I knew for many years that I wanted to do just that, but how, and who is it I need to reach? The answer: Who better than those who are now traveling my path?
Yes. The best way to silence Doubting Thomas is to answer the questions head on, with full force, and with conviction.
What is your most-heard question and how will you respond?
“The heroes of the past have something important to tell us. The purpose of life is to live a life of purpose. One person really can make a difference. Doing the right thing always matters.” ~Michael Class
