This post may be a bit morose, however, the question arose today in conversation; and I believe is fully suited to change and transition.
I tend to lean toward when we are taken from this earth, we have fulfilled our purpose. When a young person dies like our friend a month ago, I believe that person is immediately given angelic powers to watch over and care for their family. I have also heard of late, and also agree, an accident or medical event puts us back on our correct path so we can accomplish what we are meant to while in this heavenly body on earth.
To me it’s rather beautiful even though the time can be full of challenges.
A part of my extended family was involved in a head-on collision. Everyone in their vehicle, a mixture of eight adults and kids (relatives and friends), survived, while the other driver, an elderly woman who crossed over into their lane, did not. Everyone was wearing their seatbelts. Although the cause of the accident has not been released, speculation is the woman suffered a medical event.
What happens now to the survivors? Once their injuries heal, both physical and emotional, what’s next for them?
A few years ago, a young girl I know was in a horrific jet-ski accident. The woman seated in front of her died instantly; the young girl’s life was in the balance for a few days afterward. After recovering from most of her injuries (she’s still plagued to a degree yet today), I talked with her mother. This particular conversation went very deep. The young girl wondered why she survived. I shared my belief that Alissa (not her real name) carried a special message that hadn’t yet been delivered; her purpose on this earth not yet fulfilled. It seemed to satisfy Mom.
Tragic events happen every day. I also believe there is no rhyme or reason.
The questions of why. Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do these things always happen to me? Why can’t I catch a break?
What do you believe when stuff happens? I’m curious to know your thoughts.
To your success,
“Silently one by one, in the infinite meadows of heaven, Blossomed the lovely stars, the forget-me-nots of the angels” ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
