You're OK... really!

It’s time to open up those curtains and let the sunshine in! Even if the sun is blocked by clouds!

Yesiree!

This day in Western Wisconsin of the good old U.S. of A. the sun is shining. In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, friends and relatives are reporting in they are safe. Thank you!

Also in the aftermath, I give thanks for all that is good in my life.

For a moment, I wanted to backspace to delete those words I just typed. I wonder what’s up with that!

Maybe I shouldn’t be feeling this good with everything that’s going on while others are waking to the horrific reality of storm damage or loss of life.

Perhaps I shouldn’t be feeling this good because there are other aspects in my life that aren’t so good and in need of attention.

No, no, no!

Just because I am feeling positive and full of promise and delight, does not mean I lack compassion or caring of others!

And that goes for you, too!

I’m having difficulty this morning in writing down my thoughts without editing and being very judgmental about them. Yet, I know this is only temporary. My head is busy being somewhere else other than here in my living room. It’s in Pennsylvania with my daughter; it’s with other extended family members along the east coast; it’s with a few other friends not in harms way, however, not in my close reach, either.

But everything is still OK. So maybe that is only where I need to be today …. and not worry about anyone or anything else.

I’ll take this as my cue.

I’m OK. You’re OK. We’re OK.

To your success,

PeggyLee

Yes, it is in the aftermath of natural events (disasters?) that we recognize the good in our lives- and how beholden we are. (We all feel [especially those in big cities] that we are in control of our lives and the masters of our fate, until days like yesterday, when the Supreme Being knocks on our door, and says.. Hello, remember me? And, we recognize how fragile our existence really is...)

Amen, Roy. Amen.
Nothing more to add. With appreciation and gratitude to you!

We have had wonderful whether in SE Texas over the past week. On Monday evening, I looked up at the full moon and thanked God that I was not in the path of Hurricane Sandy. I have lived through several hurricanes and tropical storms and my home was flooded three times.
I felt compassion for those in harms way but my heart was full of gratitude.

Janette,
I'm up by Minneapolis/St. Paul and it's been beautiful weather here, too. My daughter is out east with her family and they were saved from any damaged. Friends and colleagues are mostly fine too. I'm glad many took heed to the warnings. And like you, I feel an enormous amount of gratitude.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing you!
